BreakFreee.org Website Celebrates First Anniversary

Created with the goal of helping low income women improve their financial literacy and manage their finances – Economic Empowerment for Women - BreakFreee.org recently celebrated its first anniversary.

When the project started we knew there was a need to provide unbiased, financial advice to women who can least afford to pay for it. What we didn’t foresee was the economic slowdown and recession, coupled with job losses and foreclosures which have made things even worse for many low income women and families.

Over the past 12 months we have received questions from women on many different subjects, including dividing up your assets during divorce; paying off debts; student loans and returning to school; and budgeting.

Wednesday March 4th, BreakFreee will be offering confidential, personal financial advice at the Westminster Clinic, 6.30pm - 10pm.
